James has worked in financial services for many years in both NZ and UK. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), holds the NZ Certificate in Financial Planning and the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC) from UK. Whilst at university James also completed a degree in physics (BSc) and has more recently enrolled in the CFA program and passed Level I of the CFA exams.
James's career started in 1995 with NPI, Lloyds Bank and then Norwich Union before becoming an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) in 1998. James migrated to NZ at the end of 2005 and joined the Bradley Nuttall team in January 2006.
James has built a diverse client base and provides advice on investment planning, business risk management and advice to UK migrants, including UK pension transfers.
James is a member of the Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA), the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of New Zealand. Accordingly, James is bound by each organisations Code of Ethics, Practice Standards and Bylaws. James is also the firm's Compliance Officer.
Outside work James enjoys spending time with his young family and the outdoors, including tramping, running and football - he is also an avid follower of Liverpool FC.
